Hi Everyone! I hope you are well, and enjoying the summer. It is so hot in Tennessee right now, but that’s given me lots of crafty time. So I’m not complaining. LOL!
Today I’m so excited to participate in the Altenew Fashion Monger Dahlia Blog Hop, and I’ve created this lovely mixed media, mini slimline card to share. I love the edginess of this new layered floral set, and thought it was perfect for a mixed media card.
I began by spreading texture paste through a stencil on Bristol Strathmore Smooth cardstock cut to 3”x6”. After it dried, I used Altenew Waterbrush Markers and water to color the background.
Next I stamped the floral outlines in Obsidian black pigment ink, and then watercolored with the brush markers. Then I tore black cardstock, stamped the sentiment in embossing ink, heat embossed white embossing powder, and adhered to the card.
Finally, I added foam tape to the back panel, attached to the card base, die cut the flowers, and popped everything up with more foam tape before adhering everything.
