Hello Friends! Today I have a fun technique to share that makes inking so easy, and I’ve used some lovely dies from The Greetery’s recent release, Urban Jungle.
I have a YouTube Short process video on this technique HERE or below.

I smooshed some pretty dye inks onto a non-porous mat, spritzed with water, and dabbed Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock in the ink. I dried the ink between layers, and the trick is to be patient. Layer, layer, layer! Finally, spritz with water, dab, and dry.

After die cutting the Botanicuts, I added a little more blended ink to create depth and shading. Finally, I layered everything and adhered onto an ink-blended and splattered background.

How pretty are those tropical colors? I love the ease of quick card panel coloring with ink smooshing, but also the layers of color you create. What do you think? Thanks so much for joining me today. Love and crafty hugs!

A note about supplies: Affiliate links used in this post at no cost to you. Did you know that when you shop by clicking my store links I receive a small tip from the stores? I do, and to pay it forward I donate all proceeds to important charities. Recently I donated to earthquake relief in Turkey through Samaritan’s Purse and to my favorite gentle giants at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the important work of these charities!
