Hello Fall Friends! I’m thrilled to be here with you today, and share the new Alex Syberia Designs October release, Grateful for You. There are so many lovely designs in this release that it was difficult for me to choose just one thing to begin creating a card.

Finally, I decided my very favorite new product is the Garden of Blooms Layered Stencils with coordinating die. I used the new Bloom dies for the lovely sentiment.

You know that I am huge fan of the layered stencils trend, and this set has my heart! I decided to use my new favorite color combination of oranges, pinks, (a little yellow thrown in), and navy blue for this fall-ish color scheme.

I think the trick to creating dramatic stenciled cards is ink blending with micro and mini blending brushes. It allows you to add details in specific parts of the image, and stencils make the job super easy with dramatic results. How pretty are these flowers?

After die cutting the image, I outlined the white edges with a dark blue alcohol marker to match the navy background, and then I splattered with white and gold watercolor. Next, I die cut several layers of the background cover plate, glued them together, and added an acetate window on the top piece to create a shaker with small beads.

Finally, I die cut the bloom sentiment, layered with pink and blue, and then glued to a vellum shadow before adding to the shaker card. What do you think? Don’t you adore layered stencils and the dramatic effect too?
