Hi Everyone! Here’s my second card from the Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit, and I like this one even more than yesterday’s! I just can’t say enough about this kit. Let me count the ways…The colors! The papers! The puffy stickers! The sequins! I’m just giddy with crafting excitement. Lol.
I stamped the cute critter (What is he?), and colored with Copics. My sister, who is an expert Copic artist, taught me to create fur by using a colorless blender on terry cloth pressed to the coloring. It pulls or moves the color and gives it texture. Check out her blog or tutorials at Melissa Made.
The black cardstock is from the kit, and the silver is Crafter’s Companion Shimmering Cardstock. The paper is from the kit as well. Isn’t it soft and pretty? How easy is this kit? I cut another paper for the Tis the Season sentiment, added foam dots, and finally Glossy Accents for tons of dimension.
All that was left to do was to attach the Christmas critter and puffy present with foam. Finally, a couple of sequins. That’s it! So cute. So simple.
Do you like it? I really do. What I most like is how easy it was to create. Thanks so much for visiting today.
Love and crafty hugs!
Erin
Such an adorable card – thanks for posting it for us in the SSS gallery. I have trouble making patterned papers “work” when I create cards, but you did a fantastic job on this one. I just may have to “copy” your idea! Great job! 😀
