Happy Mother’s Day!

Hi Everyone! Happy Mother’s Day! I wanted to get these cards posted earlier, but I had several that needed to be completed. So I was down to the wire, and just finished taking photographs last night. I stamped all of these cards with WPlus9 Summer Blooms, Whimsy Alpha, and Strictly Sentiments 4 using Altenew Crisp Inks. I have had this floral set for a while, and was so excited to use it for these special cards! What do you think?

Doesn’t this card look so soft and pretty? I used A2 Scalloped Borders One set 7 edge dies from Spellbinders with patterned paper from My Favorite Things and cardstock from Simon Says Stamp.

I think the vellum adds a soft, feminine touch to this card, and I love to make my own background papers with stamps. This card has Lawn Fawn twine with SSS and Crafter’s Companion cardstocks.

Again, I used SSS new glimmery cardstock to layer background panels. HINT: I use VersaFine black ink to stamp sentiments, and then heat emboss in clear. That way you don’t end up with fine black spots from black embossing powder. It’s a much cleaner method!

I created this card for my aunt and I’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use the WPlus9 Whimsy Alpha stamps and dies. I stamped and die cut the letters. Then I used Wink of Stella for a shimmery accent, and white gel pen to add a stitched effect. Finally I added Glossy Accents for dimension.

So there you have it! Which card did you like best? Have you tried the Summer Blooms set? I love the modern twist on a floral set! Thanks for stopping by on this special day! Love and crafty hugs!

  1. Erin, I’m so impressed by your creativity and such seamless transitions between sweet and colorful, one layer cards to some grungy, dark projects full of layers and dimensional elements. Stunning!!

    1. Kasia, I cannot express how much your kind words mean to me! You made me grin from ear to ear! I have to say that mixed media with tons of texture and dimension is definitely my favorite. Thank you so much!
