Nuvo & Altenew Product Showcase: III

Hi Everyone! Today I’m sharing the third card in my Nuvo and Altenew Product Showcase. (You can see the previous posts HERE and HERE.) Instead of the Altenew stencils I used in the first cards, I created this card using the Layered Floral Dies. I have to tell you that I fell in love with this die set as soon as it was released! The Altenew design team created some stunning cards. HERE is the link to their blog.

The lighting is funny on the mousse sheen. It truly looks more pink (as in the feature photo), and then turn the card a little for it to look more rosy! So pretty!

My husband had given me a set of Claritystamp Stencil Brushes for Christmas and I finally used them to create a soft effect with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse on Ranger Distress Watercolor Paper. I began by brushing the mousse over the entire watercolor panel for each pink color. When they dried, I simply die cut with each die, and adhered the two die cuts together with Ranger Multi-medium.

Can you see the layers and all of the dimension you get with these dies?

All that was left was to adhere the die cuts to a white pearl Shimmering Crafter’s Companion panel, and then place the entire thing on a card base. Finally I embossed the sentiment with sparkly embossing powder on the shimmering cardstock piece and placed it on the card.

I wish you could truly see the metallic sheen in the Nuvo mousse. The pictures do not do it justice! It’s bright and striking, yet completely feminine! What do you think? Thanks for stopping by. Love and crafty hugs!
