Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by today! I hope you and yours are doing well! Today I have a quick post featuring my first card from Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit, and oh my! This kit is special in so many ways! You may not know this yet, but Carta Bella is one of my favorite paper companies. (I still need to post a video of Carta Bella mini albums I made for a friend at Christmas!) This kit has Carta Bella 6×6 papers and stickers, TWO SSS stamp sets, and so much more! I decided to use some of my mini album tricks to create extra-special cards for this kit.
This card used 4.25” x 11” cardstock base scored at 3” and 8.5” to create a horizontal gatefold. (I’m not sure if this is the correct term. Somebody please tell me if you know!) The inside primary panel base measures A2 size at 4.25” x 5.5”, and I only used one 6×6 piece of CB paper cut for the front flaps. Before taping the paper, I used tiny magnets hidden underneath to keep the card closed. I stamped the pink gingham panels using the SSS stamp and Hollyhock mini hybrid ink cube from the kit onto cream cardstock, covered the front gingham with vellum, and adhered the CB ‘hello’ sentiment. Finally, I added the twine and clear drops to the front.
Inside, I stamped the sentiment from one of the stamp sets, added stickers, and taped everything. How easy was that? But oh so pretty! Don’t you think? Stay tuned for more kit cards coming in the next few days. (I’ve been inspired and busy!)
I think this kit may already be sold out at SSS, but you can order each of the kit items separately as well.
Thank you so much for joining me for this quick post today! Love and crafty hugs!
Erin
PS – I am not compensated, nor do I receive free products from any companies (I wish). I just like to share some of my favorite crafty things in case you are interested in trying them too.
