30 Day Coloring Challenge

Hi Everyone, and welcome back! I am excited to participate with Kathy and the The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge, and you are probably here from Whimsy Stamps’ page as they are a stop on today’s blog hop.

Are you coloring along with us this month? It’s Kathy’s tenth coloring challenge, and it’s a great way to practice, practice, practice your coloring skills without the stress of completing a card or project every single day, even if it’s for only five to ten minutes a day. The best part is that Kathy even says you can drop in or out of the challenge as your schedule allows without feeling guilty! (Good news for me as the kids are home for the summer, and crafty time is scarce.)

Today I’m sharing some coloring I’ve completed for a pop-up card I’ve got in the works. As you all know, I always post a disclaimer that I’m not a great Copic colorer, but I’m practicing as much as I can this month for the challenge. (Click HERE to see a gorgeous Whimsy seashell background stamp and other Copic coloring I did on seashells.) So these cuties are from Whimsy’s lovely Let’s Be Mermaids stamp set, and I’ve adhered them to the stamps so that you can see the sentiments and pictures all together. (I love it when I see others do this, so I thought I would try it too!) Isn’t that mermaid so pretty?

This is why we practice! I just noticed that I didn’t color my mermaid’s lips!! Ugh!!

So keep coloring, painting, or doodling along with us this month! I am obsessed with peeking on Instagram to see what everyone is doing!

If you were at Whimsy, your next stop on the hop is Winnie and Walter. You can always start at the beginning if you are lost with The Daily Marker.

Love and artsy hugs!

Erin

  1. I love her. Beautiful as all your art is. I would like to see the pop up card when you are done.
    I hope you post it.
