Hi Everyone, and welcome back! I don’t know about your area, but the snowy weather in Ohio is making me dream of spring. So I couldn’t resist ordering this adorable paper collection, Spring Fling, from Echo Park at A Cherry On Top. This is my very favorite paper source, and I’m quickly learning about all of the other crafty goodies I didn’t even realize they sold. The added bonus; ACOT ships much faster than many other on-line craft stores! I ordered on Monday and received everything by Friday.
I began creating these adorable boxes by selecting my favorite papers from the collection, and die cut two pieces of each paper using the Spellbinders Charming Cottage die. (I knew this would work all year long, and not just at Christmas!) Then I folded all of the pieces, added 1/8″ and 3/8″ score tape to the connecting flaps, and taped everything together.
I usually begin brainstorming what I like together by sorting the ephemera, and deciding what larger pieces I like with which boxes (or papers).

Then I thought adding gift card envelopes to some of the boxes would be a sweet idea. So I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to create the smallest envelope.

I usually purchase a paper collection, because it comes with an assortment of 12″ x 12″ papers and a sheet of stickers. Add one pack of ephemera (and for this project the butterfly dies), and all kinds of crafts, albums, and cards come together so easily!
So, what do you think? Are you dreaming of spring and all of the super-sweet craft projects that go along with it? I love the papers and ephemera in this paper collection, and I can’t wait to see what everyone creates too! Love and crafty hugs!
Erin
