Let’s Party Sneak Peeks From Catherine Pooler

Hi Everyone! It’s a celebration around the Catherine Pooler Clubhouse this week as Catherine has been sharing sneak peeks of the new, Let’s Party, collection releasing at 9:00 AM EDT this coming Wednesday, June 17. Have you been watching on the FB page?

I could not resist creating a slimline card with the new Oval Balloon stencil and pretty CP inks! What do you think? Isn’t it fun? I began by ink blending with brushes through the stencil onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock, and made sure to overlap some balloons to create interest and movement. Then I traced the stencil outline onto Inkadinkadoo masking paper and fussy cut masks.

I used the Melon Edge Dies to cut a stencil from cardstock for clouds, and masked off the balloons as I started at the top of the cardstock to softly blend Fiesta Blue ink for clouds. The trick in inking clouds is to blend ink at the top of the stencil, and leave white between the clouds. Then I stamped the strings with twilight ink, and used a white pigment ink and finger dauber for the stencil highlight on each balloon.

Finally, I used the awesome new Celebrate die to cut one sentiment from white craft foam, and then die cut the inked card. Remember, to keep all of the little pieces from the die cut to piece back into the card! I adhered the inked card to a black card base, glued the craft foam and die cut together, and then pieced everything together. I finished it all with Crater Lake sequins for a touch of sparkle.

What do you think? Have you been keeping notes for a wish list? You won’t want to miss anything in this release! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Love and crafty hugs!
