A Fairy Tale Card Book

Hi Everyone, and welcome back. Today I am excited to share a set of sweet cards featuring the new Anita Jeram & Colorado Craft Company release. I’ve created several cards that tell the fairy tale of Cinderella, and the set fits into its own storybook. This post is part one featuring four of the cards in the story.

The first two cards today tell the story of the Fairy Godmother promising Cinderella of the magic to happen as the sun sets on her old life.

I stamped the focal images in Memento tuxedo black ink, and then re-stamped the image onto masking paper. Then I fussy cut the masking image, covered the image, and stamped the background tree line.

With the focal point masked, I was then able to ink-blend the dusky sky, grass and tree line with Catherine Pooler inks. Then I unmasked the images, and Copic colored everything. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiments with silver WOW embossing powder, added white and silver gel pen accents, and mounted the panels over sparkly cardstock before adhering to a black card base.

The next pair of cards shows the Fairy Godmother casting the magic spell to turn Cinderella’s rags into a beautiful gown. You can see that the sun has set, and the moon is casting an ethereal glow over the scene.

  11. I just love the fabulous color on your cards especially the beautiful blended backgrounds! It’s hard to pick a favorite but I love Cinderella in her ballgown under that big, bright moon! The fairy godmother sitting on the pumpkin is also gorgeous! They are all a feast for the eyes!
