Hello Crafty Friends! I hope that, if you are joining us today from anywhere in the southeast US, you are dry and safe as hurricane Ian ravages Florida and other southern states.
Today I am happy to be joining in the Altenew Sticky Essentials Blog Hop with many other wonderful designers as we celebrate all things crafty and sticky from masking papers, to glue pens, foam tape, glue runners, and so much more in the Altenew store.

As we roll into October, my holiday crafting is in full-swing as I’m planning workshops at Paper Arts in Edmond, Oklahoma, and on-line classes as well. We are using this lovely Mistletoe Wreath bundle for an Altenew class in OK, and of course I had to use it for this blog hop. I began by blending shades of green Altenew Crisp Inks, dribbled and dried water, and splattered ink and shimmer sprays onto white cardstock. Then I used the largest die from the Mix and Match Frames to cut the background panel. Next, I used the deckle edge die from the set to cut a vellum panel, and give the wreath a softer background as a focal image.

I used the Satin Masking Tape to adhere the layering stencils to a blending mat, and used the mini brushes to blend the dye inks. (I reach for this masking tape all of the time in the craft room.) I love how easy it is to create this lovely wreath with the layered stencils. I didn’t even use the stamped image for this.
Once I die cut the wreath, I used adhesive to then dust clear glitter just on small parts of the wreath and berries for a subtle shimmery effect. I think it gives the loveliest frosty effect! See the close-up picture below.

Next I used dimensional foam tape to pop the wreath up from the vellum, and also on the green inked panel from the card base. Then I used the Glue Tape as hidden adhesive behind the wreath to tape the vellum onto the background.

Finally, I stamped the banner and sentiment, die cut it, and used the glue tape with a bit of foam tape to adhere the banner over the wreath. A few sequins finished the card.
