Alex Syberia Designs “Thank You For Being My Friend” February Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello Everyone, and welcome back! Today I’m thrilled to join in Alex Syberia Designs’ Thank You For Being My Friend release blog hop. There are so many lovely new craft goodies in this release, and I am excited to finally share everything with you.

Poppies are one of my favorite flowers, and I couldn’t wait to color this new Cindy Lou’s Poppy stamp set with teal OLO markers and a touch of blue. I die cut and layered the flowers with the new Classic Foliage die cuts from glitter cardstock and vellum.

I created the shaker windows by layering and adhering several Floral Lattice Cover Die cuts together, and then added seed beads for a crystal effect. I ink blended Dress Blues Catherine Pooler ink to the final cover plate die cut, added acetate to the back, and taped it on top. Finally, I inked the background Thanks die cut, and glued the glitter sentiment on top.

  8. Erin, I got an email this morning about your new blog post and when I saw the card, it made me giddy. I love the blue poppies, the lattice background, and it’s a shaker card!!! With seed beads!! It’s such a fun and beautiful card!!! I’m so glad you shared!! Love, love, love it!!!

  20. A shaker card? Perfect! And using the blue tones for the poppies gives them a whole new feel. This is such a lovely card, and so fun with the glitter and shaker parts.

  25. I agree – poppies are so special and yours are stunning. I love the colours along with the glitter and vellum leaves they make a gorgeous bouquet. The shaker background featuring the floral lattice is the perfect background for such a dazzling card. Love everything about it!!
