Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month Club

Hi Crafty Friends and welcome back! Today I have a lovely card featuring the new Spellbinders Stitching Die of the Month Club. I like that this card took a masculine turn, and I think it’s perfect for my son’s birthday on Monday.

I began by selecting colors using my Color Cubes. After selecting three different color combinations at random, I selected the one that spoke to me most. I love the blues with black and dark taupe. I didn’t have a taupe cardstock, and so I selected a gray with a touch of brown in it.

Then I die cut the different blues, and stitched with silver thread. After deciding on the sentiment and middle colors, I embossed the grey background panel using a previously released embossing folder of the month club, and layered the background pieces.

I die cut the FOR YOU letters from brushed silver cardstock, and then layered four gray die cuts for dimension. Next, I glued the blue stitched petals together, and then popped up with foam tape. Finally, I added foam tape to the middle die cut, and adhered sequins.

What do you think? I love how quickly this card came together, and that it lends itself to a masculine look. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Love and crafty hugs!

Erin

CARD SUPPLIES

A note about supplies: Affiliate links used in this post at no cost to you. Did you know that when you shop by clicking my store links I receive a small tip from the stores? I do, and to pay it forward I donate all proceeds to important charities. Recently I donated to earthquake relief in Turkey through Samaritan’s Purse and to my favorite gentle giants at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting the important work of these charities!
