Effortless Foiling with Crafty Meraki

Hello Friends! I am excited to share a lovely, effortless foiled card featuring the new Effortless Shimmer Papers from Crafty Meraki. You will be amazed at how easy it is to create gorgeous cards in a short amount of crafty time.

You just need a little practice, follow some simple tips, and a few basic supplies to get started. Once you start foiling, you will not want to stop.

I began by foiling several different ESPs with various foils on my Minc Machine by Heidi Swapp. I highly recommend you invest in this machine verses a laminator. Your results will be much better, but you can use a regular laminator if that’s what you already own. One tip for using a laminator is to make sure it heats up for at least 30 minutes.

I set my Minc Machine to the highest heat setting of 5 for the best results. Also, I use a soft brush to remove any dust or particles from the foil and ESP before foiling.

Seriously, how pretty is this background? Anyone that receives a foiled card is going to feel so special.

I paired this foiled background with the Crafty Meraki Damask stenciled flowers inked in Altenew Crisp Dye inks, and the sentiment is hot foiled on the Glimmer Machine from Spellbinders with the CM Handmade Love hot foil plates.

Stay tuned for a YouTube tutorial (hopefully) soon.

What do you think? Have you tried hot foiling? I know it’s been around for a long time, but these new ESPs make it so much easier! It’s effortless for sure! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Love and shimmery hugs.

Erin
