My Pretty Things Blooming Friendships Release— A Celebration of  Growing Our Crafty Community

There’s something truly special about the way creativity brings people together, and that’s why My Pretty Things‘ tagline is, “Crafting Friendships Everyday”. Whether it’s a handmade card or crafty time shared together, the bonds we build through art are some of the most special moments between friends.

Today, we’re excited to introduce My Pretty Things’ newest release in our first ever blog hop: Blooming Friendships — a collection designed to celebrate community, kindness, and the beauty of handmade expression.

There are so many pretty new things in this release, and I have had so much fun trying all different kinds of things a little outside my usual style. I wanted to create some quick and easy cards that looked much more involved. So I reached for the beautiful patterned paper in the Adventures in Wonderland collection as the background of this card. The blues in this card really pop from the yellow and pink. So I chose the black and blue for the layered friend sentiment. So pretty yet so easy!

Products:

Adventures in Wonderland Paper

Cardstock Colors: Super Black!, Turquoise Sea

Layered Friend Dies

I chose the pretty pinks and blues in the Summer Surfin’ collection to pair with the Postage Stamp and Frame Dies. It was so easy to cut specific images using the frame die. I love nesting the die cuts in the cute postage frames with that cute stitching around the image! Can you tell I love a good stitching detail? I use it many of my die designs.

Summer Surfin’ Collection

Cardstock: Ocean Blue, Bright White

Dew Drops Embellishment

I’m not sure that I can pick just one item as my favorite from this release, but it may be a tie between the Nouveau Daisy Cover Plate Die paired with the Watercolor Wonderland Washi Tape. Seriously! How pretty is this combination?

I created a shaker card using the Nouveau Daisy Cover Plate die cut from bright white card stock. I then added sparkle using the MPT WOW Crystal Kisses Embossing Powder heat embossed over the die cuts panel.

Next I used the beautiful glossy Watercolor Wonderland Washi Tape die cut with the one piece die from white cardstock to layer with foam tape for two floral compositions. How pretty are those foil details? Finally I cut a flag sentiment using the foil sentiment cut a parts and finally added that sweet little hummingbird.

So very pretty. Right?! I do adore everything in release, and there’s a little something for everyone in it. If these simple and pretty cards aren’t your style, then maybe the sweet spring coloring images may be more for you. You will have to check out all of the amazing projects from my creative friends along the blog hop.
