Hi Everyone! Here’s card number two I created from this month’s Simon Says Stamp card kit. Can I say it again? … I adore everything in this kit! And last night I discovered the little sparkly dots that were lost on my craft table! How did I forget about those?
I used the dark blue cardstock as my base, and trimmed a little more than .25″ from the bottom front using the long side of the largest Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle die. I positioned the bottom under the die and pulled the rest of the card over it. Then I ran it through the Big Shot just until it cut the front panel. Next I added a strip of the silver kit tape to the inside bottom of the card so that it would show behind the front scalloped edge. I die cut the turquoise panel using the next smaller Lawn Fawn scalloped rectangle. The last panel was die cut using Lawn Fawn’s stitched rectangle.
I think the thanks sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn die, but I’m not sure of the manufacturer. I cut it from the dark blue cardstock, cut another sentiment from white craft foam, and glued them together. After I glued the “thanks” to the top panel, I added Wink of Stella and then covered it with a thick layer of Glossy Accents.
Finally, I added foam dots to the little girl sticker for dimension, placed her on the card, and added the snowflake stickers. The last touch was a little Glossy Accents on all of the snowflakes.
So, are you as thrilled with this kit as I am? What do you think so far? Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be back with the third installment! Thanks again for stopping by. Love and crafty hugs!
