Graphic 45 Floral Shoppe Card Set

Hi Everyone! Thanks for joining me today, and I apologize that I’ve been absent for a couple of weeks. It has been busy, busy in our house. I have been painting and working on cosmetic improvements in the basement (photos to be added in the project section soon), the lab puppy turned one year-old (and he’s a handful- lots of training daily), and my oldest son is 17 in his junior year of high school (too many things too mention). Ugh! Not much time for crafting lately. However, I made this quick and easy card set with coordinating box for my dear friend’s birthday with the new gorgeous Floral Shoppe paper collection from Graphic 45.

This card has a Birch Press Design Delfina Layer A die cut with pieces placed back into the two corners for interest. Don’t you think that it’s pretty?

I wanted to use some of the 4”x6” journal cards for these cards and so decided that they needed to be A7 (5”x7”) size. I used some mini album tricks to create the cardstock base by cutting a 5×7 piece, cut a 5.25” x 7” piece, scored the .25” side, and adhered it to the base. Don’t forget to miter the folded edge! Also, I edged all of the cards and papers with Tim Holtz’ Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

Basically each card is just layers of coordinating cardstock from my stash with the Floral Shoppe papers, and some craft foam in between for added dimension. The twine was from my stash as well.

I purchased a 5×7 box, painted it with Antique Linen Distress Paint, edged it with Vintage Photo, and finished the top to match the cards.

So there it is! What do you think? I adore the navy, pink, and yellow from this paper collection. Thanks again for joining me in the craft room today! Love and crafty hugs!

  1. I have bought all the Graphic 45 paper sets I can find at reduced prices. I am a long time gardener so all the ones with gardening themes appeal to me. I am planning a project for an upcoming gardening event where I can submit silent auction items. I had the idea of creating a box filled with cards made from Graphic 45 papers. I am amazed to see exactly what I had in mind here on this blog. Creative minds think alike. I am a former art teacher and costume designer. Thank you for the inspiration.
