Hi Everyone! I can finally take a breath and slow down to finish a quick post today. Nobody warned me about how exhausting it would be to have a high school senior in the house! To top that off, we have been remodeling the master bath for the last several weeks. (I will be sharing pictures of that soon!)
So today I’m sharing a fun shaker card I created using the Whimsy Stamps’ Peekaboo Window 2 die, Snowman Tidings stamps, and Snow Flurry stamps. How cute is that? I love the glittery papers and snowflakes combined with the Copic colored snowmen.
Tips:
I use 1/8″ Scor-Pal tape to adhere the craft foam to cardstock and acetate for shaker cards. No messy glue to smear everywhere, and it doesn’t cause the foam to warp in strange ways. (Actually, I find myself using Scor-Pal tape for so many things lately, I think I’m going to write a post about it!)
Use an anti-static tool on the acetate and around the inside of the craft foam to keep sequins and glitter from clinging to the window.
Save yourself time, and don’t color anymore of the stamped image than necessary by lightly penciling in the windows over your stamped image. Remember, though, that you can’t erase pencil lines once you color over them with Copics!
Don’t over-fill your shaker windows with stuff! You won’t be able to see the images. A little bit goes a long way.
So, what do you think? A snowy card is the perfect opportunity for a shaker! Don’t you agree? Love and crafty hugs!
Erin
