Wintery Scene Building

Hi Everyone and welcome back to the craftroom! Today I’m sharing two different wintery scenes I created for cards using the November Whimsy Stamps Paper Door card kit. The good news is that there are still some kits remaining. So if you haven’t ordered yours yet, this is a great kit for all of your holiday cards and tags!

The first card is one of my favorites so far this season, because I love to build a card scene. It’s one of my favorite types of cards, and all of the cute stamps and dies in this kit make it super easy. Included in this month’s kit is Fireworks spray in a beautiful shimmery sky blue. So I began by spraying several mists onto my craft mat, and then I pulled a piece of shiny cardstock from the kit through the ink. I set this aside to dry, and when I returned it looked like a lovely silvery, blue winter sky. Finally, I stamped snowflakes in pink and blue for the background.

I stamped, Copic colored, and die cut the house, snowman, deer, and trees. Next, I quickly cut snowbanks using the Stitched Borders dies, and added a little blue distress ink. I added foam tape to the back of the snow banks for dimension, and layered them onto the sky background. Finally, I placed all of the die cuts with foam dots, and added Stickles for sparkly snow.

The second card today is a shaker card I created with this month’s card kit. Did you know there’s even dies for a snow globe shaker? The pretty blue cardstock is from the kit as well, and it has a soft, glitter shine to it. The cottage and trees with snowman create a cute, cute, cute and cozy scene for this shaker.
