Altenew Ornate Foliage Take 2

Hi Everyone! Today I’m sharing the completed card we created together during Saturday’s live Facebook demo with 7 Kids Crafts. This card is take two from the Altenew Ornate Foliage layered stamp set. Did you see the first card I shared on Monday? You can find all of the details HERE.

How amazing that you can get two completely different looks with one stamp set? For this card I stamped the layers using Altenew Crisp Inks in Enchanted Garden purples and Rose Petal pinks.

Tips:

This stamp set was fairly easy to layer. So I free handed it with a stamping block. If you feel you need more control, use a MISTI.

If some layers are a little askew, I use a black Micron pen to widen the black stamped lines.

Add interest with splatters using Altenew Ink Sprays.

A charcoal pencil blended using a tortillion adds shading and depth.

Have you seen the Nuvo Dream Drops? Oh my goodness! They are gorgeous. I used Fairy Wings for this card.

Here is a practice card I created using the Lapis Lazuli blues. See the difference in shading and depth using a charcoal pencil?

Trick:

Look through your Altenew stamp sets for layered sets that have an outline image. Use that stamp for coloring with Copies, watercolors, or pencils. Then create an entirely different card using the stamped images and ink. Ta-dah! Two stamp sets in one!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will meet you in the craft room tonight at 7 Kids Customers Create Facebook page for another live demo starting at 8 PM EDT. (Make sure you join ahead of time.)  Love and crafty hugs!
