Hi Everyone, and welcome back! Can you believe that it is already December? I know! I know! Many of us are still in the countdown to finish our holiday cards. Believe me, I am too, but I had to squeeze in these beauties from the November Club Sursee card kit from Catherine Pooler.
Oh my goodness! This kit was full of goodies and so versatile. I know that I will reach for it over and over again. Look at that pretty mini cover plate die. I created an ombré effect by blending Aquatini, Daydream, and Juniper Mist inks, and then made my own background paper by softly blending Aquatini on cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment in Juniper Mist, and heat embossed clear embossing powder on a die cut circle. Then I used a Zig blender pen dipped in ink to color the stamped butterfly, and added dimension by popping both up with foam dots. How easy was that cute card?
I tried to create my own iridescent ink for this pretty butterfly rainbow card by mixing Perfect Pearls with CP ink refills. I dipped the solid stamp in the color, and stamped it onto Arches Cold Pressed watercolor paper. Then I quickly used a wet paintbrush to drag the color down the paper, and splattered some color too. After the ink dried, I stamped the detailed image over each color in black.
Next I stamped the sentiment and added the little hearts for a finishing touch. Finally I added black glitter washi tape to the background, and used foam tape to pop the watercolored panel.
Have you joined Club Sursee yet? Stay tuned to see what I created with the other kit stamp set. Love and crafty hugs!
