Hi Crafty Friends! We are sheltering in place here in Ohio, and I sincerely hope this finds everyone healthy and happy. Today I’m sharing a fun shaker card we created together during a Facebook live demo a couple of weeks ago. You can see the replay here:
I used the new Trinity Stamps Slimline Frame & Fold Stand-Alone dies to create this slimline shaker card. Have you seen all of the slimline dies TS carries? I just discovered this company a few weeks ago, and am thrilled with this line of dies! I used the outline die to create the shaker window, but first I die cut the Scenic Borders stitched clouds and grass border for the card.
I began by blending Catherine Pooler inks with the clouds die cuts as stencils. Rainbow skies are popular right now, and I couldn’t resist trying it in this card. Next I softly blended darker green ink on the tips of the die cut for added interest, and then adhered it to the background.
To create the shaker card, I used 1/8″ Scor Tape to adhere the acetate window to the frame, and then added Darice foam strips. The Catherine Pooler Springfield sequin mix was perfect for this springtime shaker card! Then I stamped all of the AE Wheelie great elements with Memento ink on Express It cardstock, Copic colored everything, and finally die cut all of the pieces.
I decided it would be super cute to have the sentiment on a tag behind the bicycle with the balloons, and I love how this turned out! Isn’t it cute? I stamped the sentiment from Wheelie Great on the small Party Tag die, and then tied it with white twine. I adhered everything to the front of the shaker card, and then taped it to a green card base.
So what do you think? I hope this happy springtime card helps to brighten your day. It sure makes me smile! I adore these stamps and dies I used, and am so happy you joined me today! Remember that I am live on FB every Thursday at 8:00 PM EDT, and I hope you can join me. Love and crafty hugs!
