Hi Everyone and welcome back! I am excited to share a pretty watercolor card today using the fabulous new 8” X 11” Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set from Altenew.
This was the first time I’ve tried the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers, and I have to tell you how much I truly loved them! I have had these for a few weeks, and I was so intimidated to try them. I am not the best at watercoloring, and I had left them safely tucked in the drawer. However, I love the soft, flowy watercolor look, and so I decided to give them a try.
I stamped the image on Bristol Strathmore Smooth cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink, and then heat embossed Antique Gold embossing powder before watercoloring. This helps contain the water flow, and I think makes the process a little easier.
It helped to have a paper towel handy to gently dab off some of the ink from the brush tip, as a little tap of color goes a long way. The color is highly pigmented, and I also used a water brush to move the color or add water.
