Hello Artsy Friends, and happy spring! I’m going to work and update the way I communicate in the future. That includes posting dates and times for product releases, and when I plan to go live on Facebook and YouTube to share those products with you.
Going forward, this will include blog posts with featured company supply links for products. Many of you know that I work with some of my favorite companies as a brand ambassador and/or as an affiliate. When you click an affiliate product link, I receive a small commission at no cost to you. (Please know that I do not ever promote a product or company that I would not use myself or recommend to friends. Your trust is very important to me, and I take this responsibility seriously. I do, at times, decline working for a company or with a product for this reason.)
Last year I began donating 100 percent of my affiliate proceeds to charity. Please know that I do not earn enough through affiliate proceeds to earn a living or even pay many bills, but every single penny earned is important for charity.
I recently learned that since spring of 2021, most affiliate marketers are losing sales due to new privacy programs implemented through updates on the internet. What this ultimately means is that affiliate links are not connecting the final sale to the affiliate or social influencer who shared the product/company/link. This is not the fault of the companies, but due to new privacy settings through apps and internet providers.
All of that said, I always want to donate as much as possible to charity, and the best work-around for this link breakdown is to post a “Supplies List” here on my blog as often as possible.
