Happy 20th birthday to Spellbinders’ Paper Arts! It’s been 20 years of die cutting craftiness for Spellbinders, and we are celebrating with a Birthday Celebrations Collection release today.
Every birthday bash needs party animal balloons. Right? I couldn’t resist creating a fun birthday card with the new Balloon Party Animal Etched Dies. You could die cut different shades of cardstock and layer the pieces, or I cut all of the pieces from the same red cardstock. Then I used red Copic markers to shade them.
I used one of the Glimmer of the Month Club plates for the rainbow foil background to the Stylized Happy Birthday dies. TIP: I embossed the sentiment into the background die cut for perfect placement of the letters. This made placement of those thin letters easy as can be!
I popped everything onto the white cardstock embossed background I created using the new Party Spots Embossing Folder. Finally, I added highlights to the balloon animal with a white gel pen, and added clear sequins. Everything was then placed on a dark blue background.
