Hello Friends, and happy Christmas in July release from Colorado Craft Company! Holiday crafting is my favorite time of the year, and you are going to see some fun things from me in the coming months.

I’m kicking off the season with Colorado Craft Company’s Christmas in July release featuring several new stamp sets from our favorite artists, Anita Jeram and Kris Lauren, Big & Bold, and Savvy Sentiments.
Below is the link to the YouTube video or you can click HERE.

I was inspired to create chalkboard cards for this release, and I am a little obsessed with how they turned out.

Some of the cards I Copic colored the images, fussy cut, and adhered to the chalkboard background. TIP: If you fussy cut or die cut an image for the black background, outline the image with a black marker so that it blends perfectly into the chalkboard look.

How easy, yet impactful is this card? The Quick Cards sentiments make Christmas crafting easy. Begin with black cardstock, heat emboss with white embossing powder both the sentiment and around the edges of the panel.

TRICK: Add chalk-like effects with different craft room supplies such as embossing buddy powder, Faber-Castell white Pitt Pen, and most importantly a white pastel pencil blended with a tortillion.
Giveaways:
3C is doing a HUGE complete bundle giveaway to ONE lucky winner. The winner will be chosen from purchasers who use an artist’s affiliate link in the store. The chalk art is wonderfully creative. I recently did some chalk art using my calligraphy writing to make signs for a garden event.

Erin, I love these chalkboard cards! What dies did you use to cut the panels? And maybe you used an embossing folder for one of the backgrounds? Thank you for sharing your designs and the tips and the process.
