Easy Embossing Folder Card

Hi Everyone, and welcome back! Today I’m sharing an easy card using the Spellbinders’ Paper Arts Embossing Folder of the Month. I love embossing folders for their versatility in almost any kind of card, but mostly because they help make a lovely, yet quick and easy card.

I began by ink blending purple Distress Oxide inks onto a white piece of Hammermill cardstock measuring 4” x 5.25”. Next I placed it into the embossing folder, and ran it through the die machine. Then (only because I can’t leave things super-simple) I used my finger to gently rub Prima iridescent wax over the raised areas.

I die cut and layered the happy birthday sentiments, layered silver cardstock behind the panel, adhered to a black card base, and finally added some pretty purple flat-backed beads.

What do you think? It’s an easy, but lovely birthday card for someone special or to add to your stash. I love the detail on this month’s folder. You could also cut it apart and add the embossed strips to cards for interest.

Several of the Spellbinders’ Clubs are very affordable. You can join as few as you like, or even all of them, and cancel at anytime. You have until July 24 (I believe) to join. Also you receive 10% discount when you shop the Spellbinders’ store. Love and crafty hugs!
