Hey There Crafty Friends, and welcome back! Who else is a little obsessed with the stitched cards craze? It has taken me a bit to really embrace this trend, but now I’m all into it!
Don’t you think the stitching with layered dies is absolutely stunning? This lovely set is from the new Spellbinders’ Paper Arts Stitched Club of the Month. Unfortunately this sold out very quickly, and thus why I didn’t share this card sooner. If you think you would like to try joining next month, I recommend joining on the first of February.

I used a heavyweight cardstock, such as Neenah 110lb., to give a sturdier stitching base. The needle size was 22, and I used floss in the same lovely teal family double threaded. You have to try different numbers of thread to find what you like best. I found the double threads to be a happy look.

I love to layer the die cuts and add foam for dimension. Finally, add flat-backed beads, sequins, or gems for a final touch. What do you think? I find this new trend very relaxing in the evening while watching tv.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Please leave me a comment and let me know if you are yay or nay on stitching dies. Love and crafty hugs!
Erin
