Anemone Blooms Three Ways

Hi Friends, and welcome back! Today I have a lovely trio of cards featuring the new Anemone Blooms Collection from Spellbinders’ and Yana Smakula.

This is such a pretty collection of Glimmer hot foil plates and dies! I’m not sure that I can pick a favorite, but I do love the layered blooms etched dies. I used the intricate die to create the black metallic background, and then paper pieced the lavender colored petals back into another outline die cut. Doesn’t that background create so much interest?

As much as I love the previous card, I admit that this card makes me swoon a little! The anemone Glimmer plates foiled and layered to create this dimensional card is just so pretty. Next I hot foiled the Hello, Friend sentiments on the background panel. Do you have a favorite yet?

Well, wait before you decide, because I have a final card to share. This one features a clear card, and it’s a first for me. I have been experimenting with acetates to find the perfect thickness, and this is not perfect but it’s close. When I find the perfect one, I will share it. This one did not warp when I heated and hot foiled it for the silver splatter effects though. I was worried, but it stood the test well!

I then used the etched dies with metallic cardstock layered over ink blended white cardstock for the blooms. Then, I used Stardust gel pens to add details, and I foiled a sentiment from the inside sentiments set. Finally, I completed the inside of the card with a white panel and added white die cuts to disguise the blooms on the front of the card.

So there you have it! A trio of very different lavender cards featuring the new Anemone Blooms collection. Now do you have a favorite? I want to keep experimenting with clear cards, and I will let you know when I think I’ve perfected them. Love and crafty hugs!
