Double-Stamped Images

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you are well, and that you have a little time to craft for yourself this week. Today I have for you a fun, rainbow card with a little double-stamping for interest.

I began by placing the large floral Gina K. Designs stamp in the MISTI. I selected bright rainbow colors in pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. I inked half of the stamp in pink, and softly blended out the edge with a mini blending brush, stamped in the MISTI, cleaned the stamp, and then repeated the process in orange on the other half of the flower. I stamped two more flowers in the other colors, and in the same technique.

I removed the floral stamp and placed the large Vintage Filligree Background Stamp in the MISTI, and conditioned it by rubbing with a lint free cloth. Then I placed one of the stamped flowers in the MISTI, inked the stamp with VersaMark embossing ink, and stamped the flower. Next I covered with WOW! Clear Embossing Powder, and heat set it. I repeated the process with the other two flowers.

How pretty is that double-stamped effect? I like that it is a simple trick to add lovely interest to a stamped image.

I created the background by spattering inks in a rainbow to match the flowers, and adhered to a black card base. Next I stamped the sentiment in black VersaFine ink, and popped the flowers with foam tape for dimension. Finally, I added Disco Ball sequins to finish the card.

What do you think? Have you tried this technique before? Let me know in the comments if you have. Love and crafty hugs!
