Hi Everyone! This is the second post in “Closing 2016” series. (HERE is the first post.) This set of cards features Prima Marketing’s Sweet Peppermint Christmas papers, flowers, ephemera, etc. designed by Frank Garcia. Isn’t it gorgeous? I fell in love with everything and knew I had to have almost everything as soon as I saw it. I purchased it from Bluemoon Scrapbooking (the first time ordering), and I found them to be very customer service oriented. (I’ll be placing another order this evening actually.)
The flowers were so pretty! The leaves were a soft mint and silver velvet. Many flowers were dusted with frosty glitter. The 12″ x 12″ individual papers were foiled too.I layered and layered many pieces for these cards. Also, I used Distress Inks to softly blend edges of papers, ephemera, and die cuts. Can you see it here on Santa, poinsettia, the date, and papers? For this card I cut Santa in his sleigh from a large piece of paper and then layered it over a cut pieces of 6×6. The 12×12 stack came with small sentiments used here along with the matching gems. Also I distressed the edges of papers before softly blending with Distress Ink.This card had many layers created with distressed paper in layers, and punched with a Martha Stewart paper punch. Also I die cut cardstock with Spellbinders’ Holiday die then painted it with Finnabair Texture Paste in Antique Silver Crackle. It’s difficult to see, but the “fa la la la la” was mint foiled. This was so cute!
Well, what do you think? I loved this Christmas set from Prima Marketing and just ordered Frank Garcia’s new set, Love Clippings, from Bluemoon Scrapbooking last night. Hopefully, I will have some new beauties to share sooner rather than later.
Love and artsy hugs!
Erin

I'm a wife, mom, and former teacher. I decided to create a blog and share some of the ways I express myself everyday. You'll usually find my latest card creations, but I plan to throw in some projects from around the house as well. Maybe I'll even post a recipe once in a while. You never know what you're going to get!
