Closing 2016: Simon Says Stamp

Hello! Today I’m sharing the third (and I think the last) installment for the Closing 2016 series. You can check out the other two posts Here and Here. These cards were created using one of the cutest and easiest card kits ever from Simon Says Stamp‘s December kit release. Most of the effort simply involved cutting and layering the 6×6 papers on SSS cardstock bases.

HintSSS cardstock is my favorite go-to for card bases. It’s only 100 lb. weight, but it feels much heavier. It comes in gorgeous colors and is very sturdy.

This card was the most involved of the set with stamping, coloring, and embossing. So much work! (Grin and giggle!) I stamped the background using silver and gold Delicata inks, and then colored the tree and banner with Copic markers. Next I embossed the sentiment and fussy cut the colored items. Finally, I layered the paper panels, and added foam dots for dimension on the banner and tree. I’m so exhausted! 😉

Isn’t this card cute? All it took was cutting and layering the papers on the pretty red SSS cardstock base. Easy, peasy!

This one was so simple! The top panel was a 6×6 paper. All I did was cut it down and layer it. The only extra touch was to brush some Perfect Pearls around the front of the green card base for extra shimmer.

So…did I save the best for last? I loved the heart paper for Christmas. Don’t you?

This card was probably my favorite! I think the hearts are so cute! The tag was cut with a My Favorite Things die and layered with three dimensional stickers from the kit. Finally I embossed the sentiment on the tag and finished it with Lawn Fawn twine.

So that’s all I’ve got. What do you think? I love it when SSS makes it so easy to put cards together! Thanks again for stopping by!

Love and crafty hugs!

Erin
