Hi Friends! This is part one of two posts today for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, The Color of Love. It’s a Valentine’s theme, and I had to share the new Caprice Heart Birch Press layered dies for this. The funny story about these dies is that I saw them and really wanted to buy the set, but decided that I shouldn’t spend more money on craft supplies so soon after Christmas. (LOL!) However, my husband forwarded me an email from Birch Press highlighting these dies, and he said I had to buy them. Isn’t he the best husband ever?
Both of these cards feature the Birch Press Design layered Caprice heart dies and Simon Says Stamp sentiments. They were super simple to make, but oh so pretty as finished products. For this card, I die cut the hearts, glued them together, and added it with foam dots to the card for added dimension. The white panel is my favorite Crafter’s Companion Shimmering cardstock, and it’s layered over some basic pink and red cardstock from my stash. The sentiments are from last year’s SSS release, Roses For You, stamps and dies.
You might like these SSS Valentine’s cards from last year:Hello, Love, L-O-V-E, and Love XO.
I love the contrast of the black, red, and white with this card. Don’t you? It just pops for me! This one is on a black SSS heavyweight cardstock base, and layered with the white shimmering CC panel with red from the stash. The sentiment is SSS Paper Hug from a couple of years ago; an oldie, but goodie! The little red sequin hearts are too cute too!
So there you have the Simon Says Stamp and Birch Press post. What do you think? Don’t you think the BPD hearts are to die for? LOL! Thanks for stopping by for part one. Love and crafty hugs!
