Bokeh Thank You

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all well and hanging on until spring decides to pop its head through the gray clouds of winter. Today I’m sharing a thank you card I created using Essentials by Ellen Hutson stamps, Bokeh Dots and Fancy Thanks.

Have you ever ordered from Ellen Hutson? I think she has the fastest shipping of any other company. Seriously! I’m sure you’re like me; when I decide to order products, I want it now, Now, NOW! And Ellen’s products always arrive in two days (all the way from Washington to Ohio)! Also, the stamps are packaged in very heavy plastic sleeves. It’s a nice added touch that I appreciate.

You can see the offset, double embossing in this picture. I like the shadow-effect of this technique.

Bokeh stamps have been popular for a couple of years, and I’m glad that I waited until I found this perfect set. I like that it doesn’t just have different size circles and dots, but scribble circles as well. Don’t you agree that you can never have too many “Thank You” stamps? You just can’t! This Fancy Thanks set has a funky script, different sizes, and even hearts; something a little different from anything else I own. (You can find another of my favorite “Thank You” sets in this previous post by clicking HERE).

Can you see the dimension of the silver Nuvo Drops? I love that about this product!

I combined the stamps with Reverse Confetti dye inks and coordinating card stocks. This is the first time I’ve ever had matching inks and cardstocks. What an amazing thing! I definitely need to start building my stash in this way; everything came together so easily! The RC inks are new to me as well, and I liked the effect of layering the inks. I’m glad I ordered these, and I’m sure I will order more in the future.

This card is pretty simple. I stamped the bokeh dots, and layered on a RC cardstock panel. Next I heat embossed the sentiment in white on vellum, and then embossed again with silver a little offset from the first. I wrapped this around the panels, added foam tape for dimension, and taped it onto the card base. Finally, I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Silver Moondust.

So there you have it! What do you think? Do you love bokeh stamps too? Thanks so much for stopping by today! Love and crafty hugs!
