Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

One Kit – 10 Cards from Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Hi Everyone! I hope you are well, and the weather is beginning to turn to spring in your area. The joke for those living in Ohio is that if you don’t like the weather then stick around a couple of hours; it will change. So true!

For the first time in my my card kit history, I have achieved a milestone! I actually created 10 cards from one kit! There are many crafters and bloggers who accomplish this every month, but I’m not one of them. Vicki Papaioannou at Clips-n-Cuts blog does this every single month and I’m always amazed. I’m not sure if I don’t have the attention span or stamina, but I usually only get to about four cards.

So here they are! FYI – I try to stick to the kit contents as much as possible, and use as few additional supplies as I can. I even refrained from adding sequins or using additional papers (other than card bases using Neenah) this month.

The Easter eggs in all of the photos are a bonus using the kit Nuvo Embellishment Mousse painted onto paper mache eggs from Joann Fabrics. Then I sprayed brushed pewter and tarnished brass Distress Spray Stains for a speckled effect. Aren’t they so cute?

I’m not going to say much about each individual card, because I think they are pretty basic.  I used the pink Nuvo Mousse and the stencil for the card above, stamped the bunny, and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut the eggs from one of the papers, and then used lots of foam tape for dimension between layers.

What do you think about this card? There’s something about it that makes me smile. I added Wink of Stella and Glossy accents on the hearts for interest. The tag is a pierced die from My Favorite Things.

I purchased some Wendy Vecchi/Ranger colored embossing powder in pink and yellow a couple of months ago, and found this to be the perfect opportunity to try them out. This was an excellent purchase! So cute!

These flag dies are Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners.

I used a brand new My Favorite Things die, Peek-a-Boo Window and Edge, I purchased last week for this card. I love all of the stitched dies!

For this card, I used another new die. This Wonky Edge Scallop Edge border die is from Reverse Confetti. It has a smaller scalloped edge on the other side. (I used two die cuts, and the smaller edge is hidden under the green paper.) You can see the smaller edge in the next card.

Here’s the smaller scalloped edge of the Reverse Confetti die. I had to run the die through the machine twice, and it moved a little to create the little extra cut on the edge. Can you see it? An oops that looks kind of cute!

All of the stitched rectangle dies are Lawn Fawn. I used the silver mousse in the stencil for this card, and then blended Twisted Citron Distress Ink around the outer edge.

I think this is one of my favorite cards! I always love how vellum softens a bold paper. The twine is from Doodlebug’s Spring Assortment.

SSSCKMARCH10

This was the last card I created with scraps. The stitched and layered flags are MFT. The oval is Wonky Stitched from MFT as well, and I blended Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar around the edges. This embossing is Wendy Vecchi Pink Peony.

So there you have it! Ten cards from the March Simon Says Stamp Card Kit! What do you think? Thanks again for taking time out of your day to stop by. Love and crafty hugs!

Erin
