Lawn Fawn Pop-Up Card

Hi Everyone! Thanks for stopping by the blog again today! I’m sharing a cute, cute, cute pop-up card using Lawn Fawn‘s Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up die and Jump For Joy stamp set. I’m going to enter this in Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge, Pop It Up.

This die makes creating a boxed pop-up card super easy! It comes with all of the pieces to create the A2 base, panels, inner panels (to make things pop), and even little stars, flags, banners, etc. (You can find another of my Lawn Fawn pop-up cards HERE!)

I will admit that I got a little carried away in my excitement for this card, but I think the results are worth the effort. I used Distress Oxide inks to blend a a pretty background for the autumn trees using Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Tree Borders dies, and added them to green Let’s Polka in the Dark paper cut with LF Stitched Hillside Border. Far in the background, you might even see the tiny row of houses from LF Little Town Border dies. Can you spot them?

I stamped all of the critters and leaves using Memento ink on X-press It paper and colored with Copic markers. To make everything “pop” a little more, I cut narrow strips of clear heavy acetate, and adhered them to the box and hillsides. My favorite part of the entire card is the little hedgehog jumping into the leaves! I popped a hole in an acetate strip and used a brad to create an interactive moving piece so the little guy would truly move to jump into the leaves. How fun is that?!

Here’s a quick video of the jump for joy hedgehog!

Finally I stamped the sentiment on Neenah Desert storm yardstick and popped it into the background. Next I cut LF Stitched Leaves from the remaining distress oxide panel, and adhered to the sides.

So…do you think it pops enough? Have you played along in Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week? I love seeing everyone’s cards! Love and crafty hugs!
