Hi Everyone! Today I’m sharing the first five cards I’ve created from Simon Says Stamp’s April Card Kit, Beautiful Day. I can’t even tell you how much I adore this set! Seriously, this has to be one of the best! It included a large stamp set (of butterflies – my favorite!), butterfly stencil, Distress Oxide inks, Lawn Fawn papers, Gina K. Therm O Web, cardstock… Did you get yours while they lasted? Unfortunately, I think it’s sold out now, but usually you can purchase individual items long afterwards.
Although I try to stick to the kit usually, I couldn’t help myself in using this Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Landscape and Stitched Tree Borders dies to create a springtime card. Isn’t it so cute with the LF papers? (Looking at this picture, I think I will add some shimmer pen or gel pen and Glossy Accents. It needs a little boost.)
I think these previous two style of cards would make gorgeous, yet easy-to-create, card sets! Purple, pink, blue, lavender, green … can’t you see it all tied up in a pretty box as a sweet thank you gift? Smooshing with Distress Oxide inks makes for artsy ease in cardmaking!
I did not have much time to play with the Therm O Web, but I used Scor Tape to adhere it onto this card base. I also have a Minc Machine and hope to play with it a little more in the coming weeks. Look for more posts soon!
This butterfly shaker card is my favorite so far! I love the way it turned out!
I have been so, so busy with my Altenew Academy classes and sprucing up the basement that, honestly, I don’t think I’ve done this kit justice so far. I hope to create at least five more cards soon, but this is what I’ve got so far.
Thanks for joining me in the craft room again today! Which card was your favorite? I love all of the creations I’ve seen on SSS and Pinterest! Love and crafty hugs!
PS – I am not compensated nor do I receive free products from any companies. I just like to share the crafty things I use in case you want to check them out for yourself.
