Hi Everyone! Happy Saturday! Today I’m sharing the card we created together in Thursday’s Facebook live demo for 7 Kids Crafts in which we added Zentangles to Lavinia Stamps scenes. (If you need a refresher on creating the background with Distress Oxide inks, click HERE or HERE.)
I have broken the video into two parts. This first video is the Zentangle tutorial with examples, and an internet picture someone asked me to use. Please note that I do not know the name of the artist, nor would I ever copy someone else’s work. I use the picture as a reference for Zentangle patterns, and always try to give credit when I am able. The only information I have are the initials CAO on the tangle. If I find the artist’s full name, I will add this information at a later date.
Also, I do not pretend to be a proficient Zentangle artist. I began learning in an Altenew Academy class a few months ago from the amazing Amber Davis from Notable Inc. (You can see examples of those cards HERE and HERE.) I loved what I learned in that class, and it changed me as a card maker and as an artist!
We added several tangles to the Lavinia Star Gazing stamped scene. Here are the Zentangle examples I shared:
Auras, Ahh, Fescu, and Luv-A all are Zentangles, but I created Floible.
What do you think? Have you ever tangled? Be careful! It’s addictive. Stay tuned for part two in which we add the tangles to our stamped background. Love and artsy hugs!
