Hi Everyone! Happy Catherine Pooler release day!! The new, In The Kitchen, release is now in the store, and ready for you to shop away! What’s on your list so far? You can find previous posts with other new products HERE, HERE, and HERE.
What do you think about this Happy Geocurves card? Who remembers the fun geometric pop art of the 70s? I do, and that’s what this Geocurves Stamp set reminded of when I first saw it.
I began by stamping each of the curve stamps in the MISTI with CP inks, and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to get an enamel look on the finished card. After all of the curves were finished, I used the new Stitched Squares dies to cut each individual pattern. Then I blended bright colors over select squares, wiped away excess ink from the already embossed colors, and embossed the new inked area.

I love a great sentiment die, and already have used this Happy X Three die over and over again! For this card, I die cut the middle layer die from black craft foam for dimension, cut another from black cardstock, and then cut the smallest die from white cardstock. I adhered the black cardstock to the foam, and then glued the white on top. Next I stamped the sentiment from the So Happy stamp set in Midnight ink on white CP cardstock, and then taped all of the stitched squares in place. (HINT: I used a T-square to determine the middle of the squares, and drew pencil lines as guides.)

Finally I adhered everything to a black card base for an extra-bold look. What do you think? This card turned out exactly the way I pictured it in my mind, and I am so pleased with the groovy-vibe. Don’t forget that everything in the new release is available now in the Catherine Pooler store. Love and crafty hugs!
