Hi Crafty Friends! Have you joined Catherine Pooler and friends this week for sneak peeks of the new Flutters and Blooms release available next week? I adore every single item in this release! It is certainly my style with beautiful dies, butterflies, flowers, and gorgeous papers.
Ask me how much I adore the new Garden’s Edge die paired with the Grace In Bloom stamp set. Oh so very much! That die is just about everything I dream of. Isn’t it pretty as a background to those lovely flowers?
I used Arches cold-pressed watercolor paper and stamped the Grace In Bloom flowers with midnight archival ink. Then I watercolored using It’s a Girl, Pixie Dust, Firty Fushcia, Green Tea, and Eucalyptus CP inks, and used the coordinating die to cut out the flowers.
I die cut the Garden’s Edge die from black cardstock and adhered to an A2 card base of CP white cardstock. Then I used craft foam to add dimension and adhere the flowers to the card. Finally, I mixed Perfect Pearls and a little water to Pixie Dust and It’s A Girl ink and splattered over the entire card. Now I admit that I got a little carried away, and next time might not add so many splatters, but I’m still pleased with the result.
