Grace In Bloom

Hi Crafty Friends! Do you have your shopping list ready? Catherine Pooler‘s new release, Flutters & Blooms, is available now! Today I’m sharing this gorgeous Grace In Bloom floral stamp set paired with one sweet butterfly from the Happy Butterflies Stamp Set.

Grace in bloom 1

I began by stamping the floral and butterfly images on X-Press It cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 .25″ in black ink.

I Copic colored the flowers in reds and greens, and then the butterfly in oranges. Then I colored the background in light blues, and added charcoal pencil softly blended with a tortillion for shading. However, I decided that still wasn’t enough detail, so I used the pointilism technique with the blue markers to add more depth and interest to the background.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in midnight CP archival ink, and used my favorite white Uni-ball Signo Angelic gel pen to add highlights to the flowers and butterfly. Next I added Crater Lake sequins and Tonic Nuvo Cloud 9 Dream Drops. Then I added black Nuvo drops for the middle of the poppy flowers.

What’s your favorite item from this release? There are too many things for me to choose just one! You can find some other cards I created from this release HERE, HERE, and HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Love and artsy hugs!
