Today I’m sharing one of my favorite cards I created for Catherine Pooler’s new release, Flutters & Blooms, available this Wednesday. How pretty is this card? I think the new Garden’s Edge die is my new favorite, and paired with the Happy Butterflies Stamp Set it makes the perfect card. I die cut the edge die three times, adhered the first two together, inked the final layer in Garden Party CP ink, and finally glued that to the others. This helps create beautiful texture and interest in a fairly simple card.
I stamped several butterflies in the Spring Fling CP ink colors, die cut them, added Wink of Stella for shimmer, and popped them on the card. (Some I added foam tape for extra dimension.)
Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Grace In Bloom Floral Stamp Set in the MISTI with the Garden Party ink, and then re-stamped it with WOW embossing ink. Next I heat set clear embossing powder over the sentiment for extra shine and added dimension. Lastly, I added Tonic Nuvo Glitter Drops in white blizzard for a little bling.
