Hi Everyone, and welcome back. How are you doing? I hope you are well! Today I’m sharing this gorgeous new fairy, Aria, and her little friend from Lavinia Stamps. As many of you know, I adore the magical detail of Lavinia stamps, and the new release does not disappoint!
I created this card during a live Facebook demo a week ago, and you can watch it here to learn all of the details:
I was most excited to try my new Zig Twin Tip Art Markers with the VersaFine Clair water repellent inks and the Catherine Pooler inked background. They worked beautifully to color in the mushrooms and Luna Lights. Don’t you love the dimension, shading, and depth it brings to the art? I am thrilled with the final results!
I decided to make this card a little bigger than my usual A2 in order to create a larger scene and fit all of the elements into a cohesive story. I think this 4.5″ x 6.5″ panel on the 5″x7″ card works.
So what do you think? Are you as in love with the detail and whimsy of Lavinia Stamps as I am? Stay tuned for more projects using these new (to me) markers. I have so many ideas for them! Love and artsy hugs!
PS – A note about the Lavinia Stamps I used in this video and where to purchase: I purchased these stamps from The Frantic Stamper. Since that time I have discovered another on-line store, Joggles, who sells Lavinia Stamps. Joggles offers 50 percent off shipping for orders $50 or more, and I have an affiliate account with them. This is at no cost to you.
