Funky Florals

Hi Everyone, and welcome back to the blog. I hope you are well, and ready for a relaxing weekend. Today I have a funky layered floral card, and I really like the effect.

I began by creating inked panels with Distress Spray Oxides and Inks in blues on Bristol Strathmore Smooth cardstock. Then I die cut all of the pieces, and added a little more ink blended around the die cut pieces. I finished the florals by splattering Dr. PH Martin’s Bleed Proof White.

All of the products are from the new Spellbinders Wendy Vecchi, The Garden Collection. How pretty are the scalloped edge dies layered in the background over Neenah Desert Storm cardstock?

I ink blended a little green in the background and then splattered green as well before adhering all of the florals and greenery. Next I popped the panel with foam tape and layered with the second white scalloped edge panel, and tied twine around both.

Finally I added more foam tape before adhering the floral panels to the card base. Then I die cut the sentiment pieces, glued together, and added more foam tape to pop it up over the twine.

What do you think? Isn’t this funky floral card so pretty? I just love this mixed media floral look. Have you tried creating easy spray inked florals for your cards? Thanks so much for joining me today. Love and crafty hugs!

Erin
